A little about our village.
Robin Hood’s Bay is a picturesque coastal village with a maze of twisting streets winding through the village and down to the beach. It is famously renowned as an old smuggler’s haunt; the main street through the village actually comes to an end in the sea.
A walk along the beach exploring the rock pools and fossils is a must.
It is also possible to walk the 3 miles to Ravenscar at low tide, but keep an eye on the sea as the tide turns swiftly and you could get cut off and trapped by the incoming sea.
The walk back from the beach to the car park is an upward climb through the village's steep, sloping streets, and can be quite strenuous. |
